Students in Mrs. McGowan and Mrs. Powell's homerooms have been enjoying testing out a new 4th grade AMSTI science kit, Land and Water. Through investigations using stream tables, students explore interactions between land and water and all the factors such as soil composition, water speed, slope, and vegetation that impact erosion and deposition. Students even take on the role of engineers as they design and build a dam to help save a flooding community. It's very hands-on and a lot of fun! We're excited about the future of science for 4th grade!
